Welcome to Health and P.E.
I am excited to begin my second year as the 6th and 7th grade Health and P.E. teacher. Before joining the HRMS staff last year, I spent the previous 4 years in my home state of North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with both my Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education (2008) and my Master of Arts in Physical Education (2011). I am married to Matt Mabe, a special education teacher at PCHS.
Health class requires each student to have a notebook, paper, and pencil. Students must have tennis shoes (that they don't mind wearing outside) and appropriate clothes for changing out that meet school dress code policy. PE clothes need to allow for movement during physical activity. The following clothing items are examples of what is not PE appropriate: jeans, boots, flip flops, heels, and shorts that are shorter than fingertip length. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to another great school year!
